🇯🇵 a week of cinema [3]: Japanese animations, アニメ

It’s been so long since I watched Japanese animations and I had a great time revisiting this world and finally crossing these films off my watchlist. Also, I know I’m moving at quite a fast pace here for an actual week, haha, but I’ve really just been enjoying watching movies these days! I think making these blogposts also helps me as I treat it as some sort of theme, therefore a challenge. Haha, I’m having a great time!

A week of cinema. A challenge to watch a minimum of one film a day, for a week and proceed to ponder about it afterwards. That’s it. It doesn’t need to be an elaborate analysis of said film, it is more of a relic of memory and experience, a reflection.

🇻🇳 a week of cinema [2]: Việt Nam

Vietnamese cinema. I just had the interest to delve into it spontaneously, just out of the whim and curiosity! With the aid of curated lists on Letterboxd, I found films to watch and discovered how most of the Vietnamese films are really accessible, most, if not all, are available on Youtube and other free sites (such as Hoopla!)

🇹🇭 a week of cinema [1]: Thailand ประเทศไทย

Thai cinema. A short and mostly inaccessible cinema. I managed to watch some films from classic directors such as Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit. I had a great time and will possibly have a part two to this… I’m so excited!
